Physical Intervention

Physical Intervention

In this unit you will explore non-pain related physical intervention skills for door supervisors and the legal and professional implications of use. You will understand the importance of only using physical intervention as a last resort and reducing harm in the event of using it.

Physical intervention skills are largely practical skills and so the knowledge that you gain from studying this unit will need to be put into practice in practical exercises.

The unit is split into three content areas:

1. Physical interventions and the legal and professional implications of their use 2. Reducing the risk of harm when physical intervention skills are used
3. Good practices to follow after physical interventions
